Export as QT/Animation/Millions of Colors+ (the + designates the alpha). Make sure it says rgb+alpha.

what's up folks i have a question, there is a color smoothing function in final cut pro for footage shot on dv 4:1:1 im wondering if there is such a thing in after effects 6.5,what that does is ,it helps when you have to key out the green or blue backgroun
d it helps with un-compressing factor

Are you exporting with an alpha? Try setting the alpha to Straight in the Render Settings of the RenderQueue

Try a premultilied alpha perhaps!

It sounds like your alpha channel has no softness. Have you played with the softness settings?

If you have AE pro, Keylight does a great job of spill suppression.

seperate install on the AE cd. Also check out the Cycore plugins (you do have 6.5, yes?)!
