NOT!
I seriously doubt Microsoft has any intention of developing it as a consumer
product. It was bought for the technology for developers in the next
generation operating systems. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Think about it. Why would they be giving it away for free? :) We are
talking Microsoft here. There will be no future upgrades for consumers so
don't waste too mush time learning it.
Have Fun Bill

| Well, I think we are talking semantics here. I did not mean to imply that
Acrylic would--or would not--be a consumer product. I only meant it was not
for amateurs like me.
As for it being free, I have received so much free stuff from MSFT over the
years that I can't even begin to remember it all. (We're talking the legal
ones, here.) I got MapPoint for free, Expression for free, Producer for
free, PhotoDraw2 for free after a 100% rebate (admittedly I did have to buy
Office 2000 Premium to qualify for the free upgrade), MSFT AntiSpyware for
free, and many, many more.
I understand that MSFT bought Acrylic for its value to future operating
systems, but that doesn't lessen its value to pros like you. I see examples
of professional graphics nearly every day in the Expression newsgroup.
Incidentally, I won't waste any time learning Acrylic. It won't install on
Windows 2000 and I can't afford to--and wouldn't--upgrade to Win XP just to
try a beta derived from a pgm (Expression) I already have.
I just checked my bubble. It's still intact. :)
