Hi Bill,

I'm glad to hear from you! I can do it whenever it's convenient for you.
Saturday the 2nd would be fine anytime after 6:30 est, or another night if
you prefer. First though, maybe you should send a test message to see if I
have MSN Messenger installed correctly.

The address is: billmartin1227@hotmail.com If I receive it I will send one
back. (I sent one to myself and never received it).

Hi Bill,

I have to leave in the morning for Ecuador. Why don't you just add the
rollover tutorial to frontpagesolutions. I may be able to look at it from
there.

I hope you can help me out. I have now figured out (with Walterius help) how
to make the buttons using PDV2 and export them into FP 2003. However it's a
very tedious process and I have to start over and over because I miss
various steps aligning, ordering, grouping, ungrouping etc.

Even when I manage to get all the above steps right, which is about 1 in 10
trys, when I add the rollover effect, it "kills" the entire link bar because
I didn't space the buttons far enough apart! Maybe some of the 26 rollover
effects that PD has built-in aren't even meant to be used for link bars. Oh
well...

Bill,

Do you have a time frame for putting the rollover tutorials on
frontpagesolutions? I'm asking because I have to leave sometime next week
and I'm not sure yet how long or when?

I must explain to our non-Spanish-speaking members that "Hay Bill" means
"There is a Bill."

"Hey, Bill" on the other hand means, "Hey, Bill."

(Well, I thought it was amusing.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------

And for Bill of sbcglobal, I really think you should abandon PD2 for this
stuff and use FrontPage, preferably 2003 or even 2002. You just would not
have these problems. FrontPage is moronically simple. It's a word processor
for the Internet.

Have you considered buying books on this stuff? (Hint.)

I once had an ex-friend named Ira. He would ask me for help. I would give
him my advice. He would ignore it and then ask for more help. Eventually I
figured out that he was an Energy Vampire. Every time we met, he left
feeling great and I felt drained.

You keep asking for help and you never use it, or you come up with some
excuse why it won't work for you. Have you actually TRIED FrontPage 2003?

Goodbye, Ira.

Rich,
Thank you very much for that. I did try it and as you and Bill said that
procedure was pretty easy (even for me) :) However doesn't PDV2 & Real-Draw
Pro produce 3 image as opposed the 2 image rollovers? I could easily be
wrong about this but it seems so.

Bill -

I believe that they do. There's never been an interest for me and,
therefore, I've never explored the potential. Just thought that I'd share
what works for me.

Thanks,

Rich

Sorry Guys I've been swamped.

Here Goes.

Before I start 2 things.

A) I agree with Rich on the onclick button. If your page is optimized
correctly folks won't be able to see the on-click button for more than a
second. That being said I'll tell you how to do it.

b) Stay away from dhtml mouseovers. Many problems on some other browsers.

1) Create 3 different buttons for each button and impoert them into
FrontPage. Name them homea / homeb / homec, contacta / contactb / contactc.
You get the idea.

2) Insert each of the a buttons (homea, contacta etc...) into your page.

******************************

3) Now select the home button, go to Insert / Hyperlink and set a hyperlink
for the button.

4) With the home button still selected go to Format / Behaviors. A new
window open.

5) Click on the Insert Button, Select "Swap Image" and a new window opens.

6) Select your homea button in the window, make sure Preload Images is
"Checked" and then browse to your homec button. NOTICE I SAID HOMEC and
also NOTICE I DID NOT TELL YOU TO CHECK RESTORE ON MOUSEOUT. Now hit the
okay button to go back to the other window.

7) You will notice in the Event Window it now says "onmouseover" Select
"onmouseover" and you'll see the dropdown arrow appear. Click on the arrow
and select "onclick" Keep this window open.

8) Now select the Insert button again and again choose "swap image". Make
sure homea is selected, check both Preload Images and Restore on Mouseout,
browse to your "homeb button" and then clcik okay.

You will now see 2 events added, a mouseover and a mouseout in the eventr
window.

********************************

That's all there is to in. Now repeat steps 3 to 8 for each button.

Sorry it took so long. I just can't get a break. I have a ton of tutorials
to do and can't find the time.
