I have several hundred .mix files and do not have a current piece of
software that will successfully open them. Currently using Photoshop
Elements 3.0 and Thumbs Plus 7.0.

Any suggestions?

You can open MIX with Thumbs Plus the only problem is that it will be a
single image you will not retain your seperate objects.

Some early versions of PictureIt could open .MIX files. The Lite version of
PictureIt that came with Works Suite 2000 could do so.

Walter:

Don't remember the specifics anymore. Getting Old :)))
I forget which version it was whether the Flattened or unflattened but
Picture It only opens one of them not both types. I've had every version of
PictureIt and it was always the same.

Interesting enough I always forget about IC and it's support of MIX format.
Again like PictureIt it does not support seperate objects but it does retain
the transparency.

I forget about IC too. Wonder why? Anyway, it will open all my .MIX files,
but flattens them. (All my MIX files are from PhotoDraw Version 2.)

Yeah.

My one consolation is that it will happen to all the rest of them too.
