Using Photo Draw can I save text and superimpose it over a graphic using
some sort of "transparent" setting. The effect required is text over a pic
without the white
paper background. The text appearing to float over the pic.
With thanks.

This ought to be standard behaviour in PD - if you push the "text"
button, you can place any text into the small editor window. It should
appear as an text-object with transparent background, which you can
place anywhere over other graphic objects.

Quite more difficult would be to import the text as a flat graphic image
- you need to convert the given backgound of this graphic object into
transparency - either by color or by drawing.
