Author Photodraw won't open

Greetings. Every time I reinstall Photodraw, I get the
initial Photodraw Logo Window; then, after stalling a
long time, I get a window stating that PhotoDraw has
encountered a problem and asks me with an option to send
the message to Microsoft. How do I get this program to
work? I bought it a few years ago, and now this is the
first time in almost one year on my WXP computer that
this is happening; thank you.
