Author PhotoDraw 2000 failure when upgrading from Win-98 to Win-XP

I have used PD in Win-98/Office 2000 Professional for
years with no problem. I upgraded to Win-XP Home and have
had trouble ever since. First PD would fail to open but
would open if Idouble clicked on a MIX file (Most of the
time). Then it quit altogether.

I upgraded to Office 2003 and tried all of the install
tricks listed here and it crashes everytime. (Before &
after Office 2003).

I really want to maintain the standardization I have used
for years.

1. Does anybody out there have any reference specifically
to the Win-XP/PhotoDraw problem?

2. Does Microsoft offer an upgrade to any program that
will perform the functions of PD?

There are many references to that problem. Somebody can likely--but not
definitely--help you.

There is no replacement for PD.
