Author Exporting MIX files from PhotoDraw

Is there any way to export the contents of a MIX file to
*any* other program and retain the ability to manipulate
separate objects? Our club website has maintained page
banners, images, etc., using PhotoDraw for several
years. The "project" files contain distinct images,
logos, etc., from which we build specific banners and
export them to JPGs. We're moving from PhotoDraw (or
more specifically, the owner of the copy we're using is
moving from US!) so we need to move the image files into
another format. JPG and GIF are not adequate, as we need
to retain the ability to manipulate separate objects
within the file (i.e., no merging!) Thoughts? Tx in
advance! - Bill

Bill:

Your best bet is to export each object as a transparent tiff or png. By
object I mean each object in your banner etc. If you have a couple shapes,
some text and maybe a photo that make up the banner save each one seperate
in say a banner folder.

Seems like a lot of work but better than recreating everything from scratch.

To add to what Bill said, after you export the objects as transparent .TIFF
or .PNG, you could reconstruct the original files in a Real-Draw (.RDW,
$50), Paint Shop Pro (.PSP, $110), or Photoshop (.PSD, $$$$). From then on
you could edit and arrange the individual objects as you can now.

Like Bill said, it would be a bunch of work if there are a lot of files.

Let us know if we can assist you further.

Real Draw Pro will not open .tiff transparent extension files. It will open
transparent .png, .wmf. And the e-jpeg,s that are made in Real Draw Pro.
